So, i guess you will have to stay posted to see how i decide to move forward with the ultimate goal of being stronger and faster at the beginning of next race season than i am now at the end of 2012.
Until then here is how i finished out the last few weeks of training and racing, plus the next three weeks of active recovery:
Nov 12-Nov19: swim-oops missed that this week. bike-200 miles (watts consistently in the 260s, probably because legs feel a lot worse when running more). run-25 miles
Nov5-Nov 11:swim-9,000. bike- 153. run-30. all slow easy and just enough to keep the legs working a bit.
Oct 29-Nov 4: bike-215-miles (did a couple of rides at 280 watts on compu for 30 miles or so)
Oct 22-Oct28: swim-10,700 yards (28 min swim split at Austin). bike-148 miles (bike watt avg over 300? at Austin, not sure if that was right or not, as i had just sent in my Quarq to get fixed prior to the race). run-39 miles (8x400 on Mon at 66-68 sec with 400 jog recovery, then 1:16 half at Austin, only Potts, TJ, and Macca beat my run split).
Oct 15-Oct 21: swim- 6,100 yards (hitting 300s under 3:50). bike-140 miles (nothing too tough, just recovering). run-43 miles (11 mile long 2 days after half ironman , then a 13 miler the next day)
HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!
